grooming, massage, waxing, facials & manicures... all part of the modern mans life
Grooming was once the norm for men. Look back at photos from the 30's 40's and didn't men look daper? Come the advent of the hippies and punks and guys somehow didnt bother looking sharp in the same way. Fashions change and lifestyles move from one idea to the next. What was once the image of a real man can suddenly change in a decade. From Burt Lancaster to David Beckham. A world of difference. But to be honest not that different at all. The only thing that has changed is the way they are presented. Beckham is open about using facial creams etc and in some areas he is mocked, in others he is seen as the ideal modern man. All depends which side of the wall you like to sit on.
There will always be men who cant be bothered and there will always be men that do.
The problem with the Beckhams of the world is that maybe they go too far, get caught up in it all. Grooming is not about looking squeaky clean and fake. It's about looking your best . You can still be wild and messy but look after your skin. and you can still learn how to shave properly without losing your manliness. If my grandad, who worked down a coalmine and put moisturiser on at night, then so can you. He knew about looking good, so should you.
metrosexual was a word that did nobody any favours.
grooming is more precise and honest...a good cut, good skin and a good shave
