The art of shaving doesn't get passed down from dad to son these days, so many guys scrape their throats with no real idea how to get a clean cut. The first rule is prepare the skin. Barbers use a hot towel for a reason, but you can use the shower at home to soften the bristle and open the pores. Use a product like St James of Londons' hot towell mask.
Then you need a quality shaving cream. Forget the foam nonsense. If you want a good shave and good skin use a good product. We cant recommend the St James enough. In nearly 20 yrs of barbering Ii have not come across anything better. So trust your barber!
What tools should you use? The mach3 razors are fine but you know you cant beat the cut throat which is where we come in. Let us give you a shave of a lifetime!
For everyday use try edwin jagger razors, and dont forget a good brush. Don't buy a cheap £4 one from the chemist. It's artificial hair, wont last and it wont lather up properly - Get a badger. check out our store for a list of products we use and sell
We recommend at least one cut-throat shave a month . If you can do more then even better, your skin will feel and look better.
